Possible Burglary on Lazy Brook
Police are investigating a potential burglary on Lazy Brook Road reported on Monday evening.
The homeowner told officers she had used her Toshiba laptop computer on Sunday night and was showering at 7 the next morning, when she heard a thud coming from downstairs, according to the report. She thought it was one of her pets, but when she went downstairs, police said she noticed that her laptop was missing and the mouse to her computer was on the floor.
There were no signs of forced entry, but police said that the front door may have been unlocked.
Burglary on Winslow Terrace
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at a house on Winslow Terrace at 4:11 p.m. on Sept. 19 and found that a rear steel door to the garage appeared to have been kicked in, according to the report.
Though the burglar(s) got inside, police said the door leading to the house was not touched and that nothing in the garage appeared to be disturbed. Police believe the alarm may have scared the burglar(s) off.
