Why are you running?

I am unhappy with the direction the Town is taking; for example the elimination of the Economic Development Coordinator when this Town so desperately needs to bring good and appropriate businesses to this community.

I believe vision and creativity is necessary to lead this Town through hard economic times and it is lacking in the present administration. I am more experienced and knowledgeable than my opponent and make a better candidate for this position.

What are the three biggest issues facing Monroe?

  • Maintaining quality education
  • Bringing good businesses to this town to broaden the tax base
  • Activity seeking additional revenues that will alleviate some of the burden of the
    homeowner.

How can the first selectman keep the town in the right direction?

The First Selectman needs to exhibit leadership qualities, recognize opportunities
and address problems as the arise — this will keep the town on the right track and help us prosper.

What skills and attributes make you a good fit to be Monroe's next first selectman?

Thirty-seven years of public sector employment in almost every facet of local government.
