U.S. Rep. Jim Himes stopped by the Monroe Farmers' Market on Friday afternoon, where he engaged in small talk with vendors and shoppers and bought a fresh plum pie for his two daughters.

The Congressman is running for reelection as representative of Connecticut's 4th District against Republican challenger, Steve Obsitnik.
