Road Work, Delays and Detours in Monroe Next Week

Work scheduled for Turkey Roost, Judd and Hattertown roads between June 2 and June 6.

Monroe Public Works crews are scheduled to work on three roads in town next week and are giving residents a heads up on what to expect.

The most significant work will be drainage systems replacements and repairs on Turkey Roost Road, from Fan Hill Road to Hammertown Road. Local traffic, emergency responders and school buses will have access during construction, however all thru-traffic will have to use alternate routes.

Crews will also be doing minor repairs on Judd Road, from the town line to Hattertown Road, and on Hattertown, from Huntingtown Road to the town line. The work could cause some minor delays but the overall traffic impact is considered minimal.

Work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and last through 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, dependent on weather and manpower.
