Taxes for All Vehicles will be on One Bill

The consolidated bills are a cost saving measure, according to Tax Collector Manny Cambra.

Drivers will no longer receive individual tax bills for each vehicle they own. When motor vehicle tax bills go out in June, taxes for all vehicles will come in one consolidated bill, according to Tax Collector Manny Cambra.

"This is being implimented as a cost savings device," Cambra said Tuesday. "If the taxpayer doesn't want to pay for all of the vehicles listed on the bill, they are asked to circle and denote which vehicle they are paying for."

Property tax bills should be in everyone's mailboxes in the last week of June, he said.

How is that going to work? Currently, if you owe less than $100 you get billed for the whole amt.If you have multiple vehicles and some are older and some newer, how will they distinquish the split payment?. It looks to me as a way to get all payment at once for all vehicles.

I totally agree, they forget to bill / lien for a water line for seven years and now insist on billing new homeowners for an agreement they had no knowledge of.. All while remaining totally unaccountable themselves Cost savings, brought to you be the people who see most homes and some vehicles valued at more then there currently worth. Sounds more like just an attempt to get full payment so they less for them to do.
