A vote on a to remove asbestos and replace the shingles on Monroe Town Hall's leaky roof will have to wait ... at least a little longer. A Town Meeting originally scheduled for Monday has been postponed to a later date.
Town Clerk Marsha Beno said a legal notice could not be arranged in time, so the Town Council must agree on a new date. She said it most likely will be Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m., but that nothing has been confirmed.
