Traffic Advisory: Roadwork to Cause Delays in Some Parts of Town

The Monroe Public Works Department released information on road projects that may disrupt the flow of traffic in some parts of town from now until Aug. 30.

Minor delays from a lane closure is expected on Garder Road as environmental work is done from Pepper Street to Applegate Lane.

However, there are portions of Fan Hill and Moose Hill roads where only emergency, school buses and local vehicles are being allowed access.

Reconstruction work is being performed on Fan Hill, from Shady Lane to the Newtown Town Line. And drainage improvements are being made to Moose Hill, from Route 110 to Cross Hill Road.

Work hours normally run from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. depending on weather and the availability of manpower. Public Works reminds drivers to slow down for work zones.
