Wolfe Park Pool Closes Due to 'Dangerous Weather' Conditions

Parks & Recreation Dir. Frank Cooper made the decision at 8:42 on Monday morning.

Heavy rain, thunder and crackling lightning struck Monday morning and the weather forecast for the rest of the day spurred Parks & Recreation Dir. Frank Cooper's decision to close the Wolfe Park pool today.

"Due to dangerous weather forecasted throughout the day, we have closed the pool for safety concerns," Cooper informed the First Selectman's Office in an email.

"However, the sales window will remain open to service membership purchases," Cooper added.
