Wood Guard Rail Installed at Stop & Shop

Years later, a Planning & Zoning Commission site plan condition has been met.

Orange cones has pushed traffic going past the Stop & Shop on Monroe Turnpike into one lane this week, as workers installed a wooden guardrail along the commercial road.

The land use approval for a Stop & Shop supermarket had called for a wooden guardrail along Route 111, but the company had opted for metal. The Planning & Zoning Commission recently worked with the property owner's lawyer to switch it out for wood.
