Ribbons 4 Sandy Hook Greets Spring and Donates $1000

Ribbons 4 Sandy Hook Greets Spring and Donates $1000 from Remembrance Ribbon Decals Sold

On January 14 we launched our mission to raise money to aid our neighbors in Sandy Hook. As we now approach mid April we have donated $1000 to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund through ribbon sales at our website and local retailer partners. We will also increase our total donation as sales continue.

After this cold, dormant winter of mourning, we can see that spring is upon us and it is time for new things to grow. We want to thank all of the kind people that have purchased one of our ribbons making this donation possible. Just as the seasons have changed so too has the climate of our emotions. They are still there as strong as ever, just changing.

Seeing our ribbons on rear windshields throughout the community reinforces our emotional bond of those who have also reached out, to embrace their neighbors and show they care.

Spring has sprung for so many, yet this remains a difficult time for Newtown. When will it ever not be? But in spite of our feelings, the sun is going to shine and flowers will grow. Hope will flourish and so too goes the resilience of the human spirit.

In the journey to promote our ribbons we have met some of the finest people, heard touching stories and saw courage that changed our lives. We will cherish these stories as we have also promised that “We Will Never Forget”…

The only thing that can change the world is for those who are good to be strong, stand up for what is right and not give in to the injustice of those who seek to do harm. We cannot undo the events that have shattered so many lives, but we must stand in unity to insure that such things will never happen again. We are committed to this vision. Our site remains open and we will continue our donations as vowed.

Our motto has been “Making a Difference One Ribbon at a Time.” We did and are proud for what we have accomplished.
