Masuk Panthers Eye a State Championship Against Avon
Several Panthers played Avon in youth soccer growing up.
The Masuk High School girls soccer team battles East Lyme in the State Semi-Finals in these photos which feature the team's last line of defense: goal keeper Meghan Fitzgerald and sweeper Diana Antenucci.
The Panthers take on Avon in the Finals this Friday. It's the first time Masuk made it to the Finals.
A player on Masuk's team said she and five teammates had played Avon's travel soccer team in the fifth grade on the road and lost — so the game will be a rematch of sorts.
