The great condition of our streets, under the circumstances, gives us another reason to be proud of the people who work in our town. If teachers need subs, that's OK. Our children need to be in school to see that when a storm knocks you down, you don't stay down for very long. Do what you need to do to get things back on track. And that is what Monroe did.

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed that the weather has been really unpredictable since Vavrek shaved that moustache? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moustache

Just to set the record straight, the buses did enter Applegate Lane (not Apple Gate Road), drove to the end of the street and did a 3-point turn in the cul-de-sac. Trying to turn around a bus at the intersection of Applegate & Garder is much worse than just diving up into the cul-de-sac (even without snow on the ground).
