Need a New Masuk Principal? Go With Joe

Monroe Public Schools announced the hiring of Joseph Kobza as Masuk's new principal, a role he held on an interim basis for the past six months.

The following is a press release issued by Monroe Public Schools.

At the Board of Education meeting held Monday, February 20, 2012, Joe Kobza, who has been serving as the Interim Principal at Masuk High School for the last six months, was named as the principal of Masuk High School.

Joe's unanimous and enthusiastic appointment was followed by the recommendation of Mr. James Agostine, Superintendent of Schools.

Joe came to Masuk High School from Waterford High School in 1999 as a teacher in the history department. In 2004, he became the Dean of Students at Masuk and in 2009 was named as an assistant principal.

A 1990 graduate of Masuk High School, Joe earned his BA in History from Trinity College, MA from Boston College, and his Sixth Year in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University.

The students of Monroe are fortunate to have such a committed leader at Masuk High School.
