School District Releases Revised Bus Routes

Every school's bus routes are included as pdf files with this article.

With Monday's start to the new school year just around the corner, Monroe Public Schools released revised bus routes.

Bus routes for Masuk High School, Jockey Hollow Middle School, Monroe Elementary, Stepney Elementary, Fawn Hollow Elementary, and St. Jude School are all included with this story in pdf format. Check the captions for your child's school.

Bus routes will not be revised again until Sept. 14.

Monroe Elementary School's routes just had a slight revision. I replaced the original pdf with the updated routes at 4:50 p.m.

Wow, the bus company actually listened to our issue and revised the route. We're pleased with the result.

You know, I drive, but I do still notice issues in the driving routes.
One of my biggest issues is seeing kids in my neighborhood having to walk around 10 minutes to get to a bus stop at 6:30 when the bus comes even in the dead and dark of winter. I live in Great Oak Farm, so some 15 kids walk this commute every day. It's bitter in the winter and dark. Yet I see some bus stops on other roads where the stops are literally 10 feet away. I worry a lot for the kids in my neighborhood. Imagine missing the bus, because it once happened to me. January, and you miss the bus by a minute so you have to return the 5 minute walk home to tell your parents the news. (And they are never happy.)

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel no include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.

It was a sunny day with bright yellow flowers growing in front of the gazebo, but you can't see thatRead More from how it was positioned. I'll eventually be able to change the home background myself. But not yet unfortunately. You're right, though. It would be nicer to have the leaves on the trees etc.
