Snowstorm Leads to Two-Hour Early Dismissals

A Thursday snowstorm is expected to get worse as the day wears on, so Supt. of Schools James Agostin decided that Monroe's schools will be dismissed two hours early today.

The region is expected to get two inches of snow during the day with another four to 8 inches by tonight, according to AccuWeather.com.

Masuk High School will be open from 7:25 until noon and St. Jude School from 7:40 a.m. until noon, according to the Monroe Public Schools website.

The Jockey Hollow STEM Academy will be open from 8:05 a.m. until 12:40 p.m.; and Jockey Hollow Middle, Monroe Elementary and Preschool will all run from 8:15 a.m. until 12:50 p.m.

Fawn Hollow and Stepney elementary schools will go from 9 a.m. to 1:35 p.m.
