A strong school system is the backbone of any vibrant community.  Not only does investing in education create an atmosphere where students are engaged in meaningful learning, it creates productive citizens who are more likely to enrich the community that has given so much to them. In order to enhance our school system we must continue to provide quality teachers, administrators, and curriculum; we must provide students with up to date materials, technology, and facilities; we must create an environment that allows students to thrive in all aspects of their lives, be it academic, athletic, artistic, technical, or humanitarian.

We all know how important the school system is for our students and their parents. However, what is often less recognizable is how important a strong education program is for the members of the community with no children in the schools. Here in Monroe there is always a great deal of debate about our taxes and the budget. Investing in our schools can give us the best of both worlds. A strong school system increases the value of your homes. A strong school system draws more people to join our community and entices them to stay here, spreading the taxes between more people. This higher population draws businesses to our town, creating revenue and further decreasing our tax burden. Now is the time to make that investment, not only in the future of our students, but also in the future of our town.

There is no greater way to impact the quality of our schools than to be directly involved in the decision making and day to day policies of the public schools in our community.   We need to do everything possible to run the school system in the most cost effective manner possible by improving communications between the Board of Education, the school system's  employee leadership, other elected town officials, and most importantly, the public.   We must ensure that Monroe continues to provide a quality education for all of our students.  Together we bring a collective set of experiences that position the three of us to help move the Monroe school system forward.  The three of us bring a wealth of talents and experiences to the table; Maur is a product of the Monroe Public Schools who served as the student representative to the Monroe Board of Education and has experience drafting National and Local Education Policy; Kirsch has spent 17 plus years attending Board of Education meetings and serving on Board of Education Committees; Primorac is a former elementary educator who has volunteered extensively in the schools and PTOs.  We will bring knowledge, real world experience and a passion for education to this Board.

Remember the Past, Recognize the Present, Vote for the Future.  Elect Jason Maur, Steve Kirsch, and Amy Primorac to the Monroe Board of Education.
