VIDEO: Boys Scouts Spruce Up the Town Green After Irene
Carson DeAngelis of Monroe's Troop 62 led scouts and other volunteers in digging and placing mulch around trees, lampposts and the mailbox on the green.
Tropical Storm Irene left a mess on the Monroe Town Green, knocking over a tree and littering the lawn with branches. Last week, Boy Scouts from Troop 62 spruced up the green as part of Carson DeAngelis' Eagle Scout project.
Fresh mulch was laid around light posts, tree trunks and even the mailbox bordering the Monroe Town Hall parking lot.
